The 3i Consortium, comprises three long established and successful companies, aiming together to offer their individual and combined strengths:

The three companies are flexible and interchangeable: basically any site is able to manufacture the same product interiors to ensure that demanding production in terms of quantity and delivery time can be met.
It can count on 8 production sites located across Italy, and with 206 members of staff, and an organized and specialized group of sub-suppliers.
The highly competence and know-how of manufacturing of interiors in aluminium, extremely important for the most modern trains, are the answers to meet the severe fire regulations in the railway industry and the demanding environmental regulations as aluminium interiors are fully recyclable.
All companies carry the best design technological equipment and systems compatible, 2D and 3D designing tools are available compatible in all sites.
Within the 3i Consortium there will be one responsible for project management who will have the full coordination of projects and will ensure complete smooth operation from design manufacturing to final completion.

The three making up the 3i Consortium are:
CIESSE S.p.A. which was established in 1970 as manufacturing company and it has been operating in the railway industry for 25 years. Since the beginning the strategic choice of Ciesse has been to focus on product quality, innovative advanced technological solutions, and this has been the engine which has allowed constant company growth. CIESSE has primarily invested in aluminium products, with an emphasis on railway vehicle interiors, thanks to this has become one of the market leaders in aluminium interiors.
CIESSE has invested heavily in human resources and their selection , and provides ongoing training to keep up with the latest modern technology. The development of new technology and its deployment by highly qualified and skilled staff, 3D solid modelling which allows quick and accurate prototype preparation to promptly respond to customer’s demands.
OMER S.r.l. established in 1990, is specialized in interior solutions and components in the railway industry, started initially in the tram business, then moved on and concentrated primarily in the railway industry.
Omer is now an established and well recognized company, specialized in the manufacturing of interiors for railway vehicles, and renowned for its aluminium interiors which represent Omer’s strengths. Omer has invested heavily in designing equipment, such as an integrated 3D CAD CAM, and on its IT technology such as SAP which allows Omer to liaise with major Operators and railway manufacturers. The use of solid model edge by highly qualified staff, gives Omer a flexible and highly efficient designing system to satisfy even the most demanding clients.
The manufacturing site is equipped with the latest technology, and its product range covers interiors as follows; sidewalls, luggage racks, fully integrating lighting systems either independent or integrated in the ventilation system, interiors and access doors, ventilation channels, heated floor systems , window panels with or without motorized blinds. Omer productions differs from other manufacturers in the extent of the use of aluminium, in different form and shapes, in sheets, in extruded, welded, glued, etc. .Omer finishes its aluminium interiors with solvents powder or water based paints and it is also able to apply insulation resins according to the demanding standards.
CARABELLI has been established for over 80 years, and its production spans from the railway industry both in aluminium and stainless steel, and the textile sector and operates in three different areas:
- Interiors for the railway industry;
- Protective clothing;
- Equipment for the electrical and telecommunication industry
Over the last Carabelli has invested heavily in the Railway industry, and it is now a major supplier of Trenitalia and other major railway manufacturers and specialized refurbishment companies. Initially Carabelli production was concentrated on the textile for interiors, after the introduction of TAF (Treno ad Alta Frequentazione) the company started to supply interiors in aluminium and other metals.
In the last few years, the choice of investing in the railway industry has been rewarded with major orders both for the supply of new trains and for refurbishment interiors projects as direct supplier and sub supplier. Using new machinery and equipment, Carabelli has established strategic alliances and partnership to offer an extensive manufacturing and service to its clients.
